Rambling Reagans

Bringing the Reagan (plus extensions) family together in the digital world.

We Reagans are very spread out. All over the world. That's made it pretty hard for us to spend a lot of time together. Some of us probably don't even know the others exist. So here's this site. A place built away from all the noise of the typical social media where we can connect.

What

Rambling Reagans Talk (RRT) is a private web forum built on Discourse software. It is a friendly place for us to share and have fun in.

Categories

There are several categories.

Intros

Introduce yourself here.

Ramblings

The catch all category. If it doesn't fit elsewhere, it will fit here.

Profiles

This is where we post profiles of all the people in our family. Past and Present.

History

This is where you can tell stories about our family. Each topic is a wiki (anyone can edit) style post, so we can revise the stories as people remember more details. Feel free to post things about 5 generations ago, as well as what happened last summer on vacation.

Recipes

Family recipes are important historical documents that must be preserved for future generations. Please preserve as many as possible. Also, share pictures.

Meta

This is where we talk about RRT. Do we need more functionality? Are we moderating things correctly? Do we want more themes? Etc.

Politics

The dreaded family gathering topic goes here. ;) Having a dedicated category means that those who don't want to talk about politics can just avoid the subject. Remember, we're family, so let's keep it pleasant.

Find your way to your site preferences

  • Click your avatar in the top right
  • Click the gear icon (preferences)

Change the default home page

You can change what you see on the RRT home page. Just:

  • Go to your site preferences.
  • Click Interface in left hand menu.
  • Then use the Default Home Page drop down menu to make your choice.

If you believe you are a member of our extended family, we want you to join RRT! Just email invite@ramblingreagans.com with a quick introduction and how you think you are related to the Rambling Reagans.

Remember that not everyone who shares the last name of Reagan is related. For example, we are not related to President Ronald Reagan.
